Meets & competitions
Racing through the season.
Speed Skating Ontario runs three tiers of competition across the season. Hamilton sits in the Western region and hosts a small number of meets per year.
Regional
Introductory races for newer skaters, typically ages 6 – 9. Friendly, lower-volume format; meets run about half a day.
Provincial
The main competitive circuit across Ontario, typically age 9 and up. Meets are usually one day in length.
Elite
For skaters age 13 and up who meet a posted qualifying standard. Elite meets are two-day events and lead into national-level racing.
Specific meet dates aren’t published here. They’re confirmed on the club mailing list and in news posts. See the news feed for the latest meet announcements.
